Sculpture and Park Developed by Mid-America Transplant Services Honors Organ Donors and their Families

Creating a lasting tribute to organ and tissue donors as well as their families, Mid-America Transplant Services (MTS) unveiled the Donor Memorial Monument in the central grounds near its office at Highlands Park. With more than four years in the making, MTS worked with acclaimed artist, Don Wiegand to create this tribute. The sculpture and park will serve as a place for donor families and those involved with organ and tissue donation to find solace, as well as be able to reflect upon the memories of loved ones and the powerful result of donation.
