Lynetrea Diggs
My name Is Lynetrea Diggs I am 23 years old and I have recieved a
kidney transplant just two weeks ago last saturday... I waited on the
kidney transplant list for just a little over a year and got the call
June 11 2000 at 4 am in the morning to rush down to the Kansas
Universtiy Hospital for my transplant.. I found out that I my kidney was
failing me two years ago and gradually watched as my quality of life
went down the hole.. I was sick all the time and was unable to enjoy the
foods i wanted as I was some what restricted... I never did get on
dialysis treatment which was a blessing in itself but just a few days
prior to getting my kidney I was told that I would need to begain
dialysis . I was saved by someone else giving from there heart not even
knowing me and giving me the gift of life.. The importance of organ
donation was obvious to me before but now its even that more important
for without it many other people and myself would not be here today to
tell our stories of good luck... I am at home recovering now I hope to
make a full recovery soon and be back out and about enjoy my life
spreading the importance all around of organ donation.Thank you Lynetrea |
