Cindy Conrad - Liver Recipient You didn't give me a cornea, but when I see my soon-to-be 16 yr. Old daughter, radiant and beaming in her formal dress, off to a Homecoming, I thank God for you. You didn't give me a lung, but whenever I breathe deeply and take in the smells of a fire-side camping trip, or, the aroma of hot baked cinnamon rolls that put a smile on my son's face, I thank God for you. You didn't give me a heart, but when I hike with my husband in Castlewood Park amidst the splendor and handiwork of God, I thank God for you. I didn't receive your loved one's kidney, pancreas, bone or tissue, for I needed a liver. And you magnanimously stepped forward, answering a call almost too miraculous to comprehend. You have been Christ-like in your giving and loving and we thank God for you! Cindy Conrad |
