My transplant was June 20, 1994, at Barnes Hospital.Receiving my transplant has already given me 4 1/2 years of life that I would not have had. It has allowed me to see a new granddaughter, attend the wedding of a grandson, travel to places that I'd longed to see. I can never stop being grateful to the family of my donor for their very generous contribution of a second chance at life. Also, my sincere thanks to a wonderful surgeon, Dr. Todd Howard, and his staff. |
