All donor family members are always welcome to attend the Support Group meetings. Every third Wednesday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. the group meets it the large conference room of the St. Louis MTS office. Here is a list of some of the upcoming meetings: December 15, 2004 - Wednesday - 6:00-9:00 p.m. ANNUAL DONOR FAMILY HOLIDAY GATHERING Each family is asked to bring a covered dish, appetizer, or dessert to share with the group. MTS will provide meats, rolls, and beverages. Please RSVP by Friday, December 10, so that we may plan appropriately. January 19, 2005 - Wednesday PARENTAL AND SIBLING GRIEF Our guest facilitator will be Mary Lucido, Bereavement Coordinator from St. Louis Children's Hospital. She will address the special concerns of parental and sibling grief and touch on the needs of all who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The Springfield group will connect with St. Louis via videoconference. February 2005 - Date To Be Determined Springfield and St. Louis groups will meet separately in February; Springfield’s date TBA. February 16, 2005 - Wednesday MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS Each family is asked to bring a memory to share with the group. It may be a photo, song, memento, poem, or video. Donor families in Southern Illinois can look forward to upcoming support meetings in the near future. Meetings will alternate between Carbondale and Marion, Illinois, sites.
