Organ Procurement Coordinator

Position: Organ Procurement Coordinator
Full/Part-Time: Full-Time
Location: St. Louis
Salary Range: 11, minimum $59,400

Requirements: Registered Nurse and 2+ years of critical care experience. As organ procurement activities occur 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, flexibility is required to work holidays, weekends, and for extended periods of time. Ability to lift items up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities: Rotate 24-hour call to respond to referrals within 90 minutes of notification. Assess and determine donor suitability to maximize donation opportunities. Local donor coordination following established guidelines and under medical director guidance to maintain adequate organ perfusion and oxygenation to maximize organs recovered. Records accurate and timely information to maintain thorough donor records. Participates as an active member of a department and organization to support the MTS mission.
